The highly anticipated release of Street Fighter 6 is just around the corner, and fans of the classic fighting game series can now get a taste of what’s to come with the official prequel comic. The four-issue mini-series, illustrated by Bengus and written by various Capcom writers, will release weekly leading up to the game’s release on June 2nd.

In the first issue of the mini-series, titled Street Fighter 6, American martial arts champion Ken Masters travels to the city-state of Naishal for a new fighting tournament. However, he quickly finds himself in more danger than he bargained for.

The comic is 48 pages long, providing plenty of content for fans to enjoy. The artwork by Bengus is classic anime styling, capturing the essence of the classic Street Fighter characters and their iconic moves. The writing is alright, it’s about what you’d expect from your typical Street Fighter storyline and being that Capcom doesn’t even bother to release names of the actual writer(s) this first issue is still providing an engaging story that sets the stage for the upcoming game.

As a fan of the Street Fighter series, I was excited to dive into the prequel comic. It did not disappoint. The first issue sets the tone for what promises to be an action-packed journey leading up to the release of Street Fighter 6. It’s a great way to get fans hyped up for the game and to dive deeper into the world of Street Fighter.

Overall, if you’re a fan of the Street Fighter series, the prequel comic is worth a read. It’s a great way to get yourself ready for the new game and to immerse yourself in the world of Street Fighter once again.
