“Ultraman X Avengers #1” brings together two iconic universes in a way that’s both thrilling and nostalgic (sort of like a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup). This issue stands out by staying true to the continuity of the previous Marvel Ultraman series, which is a great touch for fans who’ve followed the saga from “Mystery of Ultraseven” onward. The appearance of the Ultraman Jack robot and the references to past events ground the story in a familiar world while opening the door to something entirely new.

The plot kicks off with a clever twist—Galactus is banished to the Ultraman universe, leading to an unexpected alliance that’s both surprising and satisfying, adding a new layer of complexity to the story.

Miles Morales joining the fray might feel a bit out of place at first, but his interactions with Ultraman, bring a fresh dynamic to the crossover. The way the Avengers and Ultraman team up against a cosmic threat is handled with a sense of fun and adventure that makes this issue a blast to read.

The artwork by Francesco Manna shines, especially in some of the many action scenes. The visuals capture the epic scale of the crossover while maintaining the unique styles of both universes.

This issue might not be for everyone, but for those who love both the Marvel and Ultraman worlds, it’s a perfect blend of action, nostalgia, and cosmic stakes. It’s exciting to see where this series will go next, and if this is any indication, Marvel’s Ultraman books have a bright future ahead.
