HOLIDAY HIJINKS IN THE MIGHTY MARVEL MANNER! First, you’re invited to the Fantastic Four’s Holiday Party! But who are the uninvited guests? Then, in a tale of Hanukkahs past, can Kitty Pryde scramble to save the day while struggling to shop for gifts for her merry X-Men? And ring in the New Year, with Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as only Spider-Men can!
I just finished Marvel Holiday Tales to Astonish #1, and it’s a delightful mix of holiday cheer, superhero action, and heartfelt moments. This anthology has something for everyone, from a chaotic Fantastic Four holiday party to Kitty Pryde navigating the challenges of Hanukkah gift shopping, to a charming Spider-Man New Year’s story featuring Peter and Miles.
The Fantastic Four story stood out with its clever “Old Saint Vic” twist and hilarious moments—Reed and Sue’s kids roasting marshmallows on Ghost Rider’s head? Perfect. The X-Men tale brings much-needed Hanukkah representation, and the Spider-Man short is a cozy, feel-good read with stellar artwork.
It’s been ages since I’ve genuinely loved every story in a Marvel anthology. Each tale is distinct, entertaining, and packed with just enough holiday spirit without feeling over-the-top. This is on our new comic book wall, so stop by and grab a copy—you’ll want this one in your collection.
