In this new adventure, Loki has taken on a new role as the “benevolent” God of Stories. However, his past as the God of Lies comes back to haunt him when he discovers that ancient, powerful weapons he once built have been scattered across the Ten Realms. Loki must now track down these weapons before they fall into the wrong hands and bring about Ragnarok, the end of all things.
The first issue sets up an intriguing storyline that promises exciting twists and turns as Loki embarks on his quest. Watters’ writing perfectly captures the essence of Loki’s character, with just the right mix of humor, cunning, and vulnerability.
Peralta’s art is a standout, with dynamic action sequences and stunningly detailed backgrounds. The cover art by Nguyen is also a must-see, capturing the mischievous and enigmatic nature of the God of Mischief.
But the real surprise in this first issue is the appearance of some unexpected guest stars, as well as the introduction of new characters that are sure to play a significant role in the story.
